Day 40 – 27th August Thursday

.. a meal-bowl for 咀发 (he was sharing with 忠福), water flasks, key-chain torch & a basketball. Would have bought more if we were not restraining.
 
Went with KC, as well as, JH’s KMG-based friend E. Wanted them to help take care of the boys in KMG, meeting with them on the weekends, etc.

Day 39 – 26th August Wednesday

We were scheduled to arrive at 6:05am but did not till 8:05am! The train stopped at, at least 2 locations for extended time!
 
JH & I made a trip to the 昆明电子信息学校 where 杨忠福 & 陈咀发 were. After some enquiries & chat with the teachers, we managed to see the boys. They were in the midst [...]

Day 38 – 25th August Tuesday

After lunch it was getting home to 昆明 via the 3 hour ride to 百色 before hopping on the overnight train back. This time we managed to get the 6-hard bed cabin as we bought the tickets on the night we arrived.
 

Day 37 – 24th August Monday

Rafting day at 古龙山风景区, where the rafter will bring us through 3 caves. It is not so exciting in that the rapid is at most #1 only. Nevertheless we had fun & there were 5 boats in all with each taking only 2 pax. The stopover at one spot where we could swim was fun [...]

Day 36 – 23rd August Sunday

Sunday gathering was at another couple’s place for Sunday international assembly. They are Canadian-Korean & American-Korean couple with 3 lovely girls (Louise, Charis, & Alice) from the Big-O. The 6 kids performed a wonderful song they learnt at the end! How lovely!

  After lunch, it was a brief visit to the local market.

Day 35 – 22nd August Saturday

A day trip to the 德天跨国大瀑布, where on one side of the waterfalls is China & the other side Vietnam! Though beautiful it was not as magnificent as I was expecting it to be. It was a hot day & packed with lots of local tourists. You see Vietnamese products being sold here.

A slow & lazy morning & it is a 饺子lunch at Rachel’s place where we also met her flat-mate, Emily from M’sia.
 
The town itself though better or busier than 绿春 appears to be equally boring! ;p
