World Cup

The World Cup brings to mind the Europe trip made 4 years ago, aka Club la Femme’s Project Europe.
Last year’s finals were played by France & Italy, the only 2 (excluding Monaco) countries we visited. I had in mind the next euro destinatino to be Spain & Portugal. While I did not made the trip, Spain did made it to the finals!
SO, the next destinations I choose, may well be in the next World Cup’s finals! Does that me me an octopus or parakeet too? ;p
Rather than the World Cup, what brought to mind was actually the fact that we did made the trip in 2006. For the typical S’porean, may never make it, though things are pretty much different now. For most, Europe (think Paris) is a honeymoon destination.
Something that seemed far-fetched, no matter what it may be, if you decide upon it, and PLAN for it to happen, it will! I remembered I did start off with a monthly savings of $300 for the trip for a year, notwithstanding the fact that I had little to begin with then.
Since then, I save every month specially for holidays for $200-$300 a month, for as long as I am/was working. $2000-$3000 can make a decent holiday at the end of the saving period.
Hmm… when can I start building my holiday account again?????
There is still Spain & Portugal, Korea, more Taiwan, Hainan, Maldives, Seychelles, Israel, …. the list goes on. 
SO I am finally going to be working again..

like some great news… “FINALLY!” must be what all of you are thinking
Just received the call that I was supposedly to start work yesterday (just as I thought), but the sup is not ready as she need to amend the contract.. must be after Mr Q’s input! So I am to meet her tomorrow (Wed 19th) for a briefing. And yes, my dear friends knew me well – that I am a fussy worker with so many pre-conditions to the employer! Haha.. aiya if not then I would have gone into full time with a fussy employer instead mah!
Suddenly I felt overwhelmed! Afterall I had been free & easy for a long while, & this BIG anniversary thing I hope I won’t screw up for them! Then last Sun, Ps Alvin also asked me to work PT in the Missions Office. While I would not have considered it last time (even tho I would be glad to volunteer for any projects), but Cat wants to move on & with good reason. She has afterall been for faithful for the last 12 years! SO if 30 hours there, 10 hours here, and the planning for the M & Parents Appreciatation Lunch, the Summer Camp, and the sales of the RP cards, I will be L-O-A-D-E-D!
Don’t know got any connection or not, but last night I did not sleep well (well, which was usual!) I got a splitting headache now. Haha.. I think the thought of working gives me headache. Oh sluggardness, laziness, please leave far far from me!

“because” I am well-known by now to be free & easy, YY asked if i was keen to help her sell some precious stones jewelry.. and why not? So a place was found in TN @ MOE for today 10am – 2:30pm.
The morning did not start off well for me cos it started pouring cats & dogs when I stepped out of the MRT. In ensuring I would not be late I brave through the downpour with my sun-brolly. SO you can expect I was half drenched. To make matters worse, on the Paterson stretch, every vehicle that passed by basically splashed water at me! I was in my usual white ensemble right to the sandals.. you can imagine how terrible I looked by the time I arrived.

…yes, moi have gone berserk ever since I am stressed up at work & kena the 30% paycut… by spending 30% more!
First I has a new look that cost a hefty $250+ 
I kinda joked at work the next day due to the 30% cut so my also got a 30% cut.
Then having only intended to spend $500 in Sakura Land, with absolutely no intention whatsoever to buy a Burberry Blue Label bag when I was only supposed to be buying one for A, here is the Y28,000 bag that I got for myself! 
I am absolutely clueless why I would buy a $450+ bag (my most expensive bag to-date that I buy for myself). Wonder when I would use it (it is still in the plastic).
And this is NOT the end of the story… take a look at what I purchased on the SQ flight back! I only ever buy model planes for G in the flight & never ever anything for myself!!! 
A Tommy Hilfiger watch (did I mention it is exclusive only on the SQ flight?) @ $100+ & a $100+ SK-II Eye Cream 
Well.. even then this is NOT the end of the story…
The GUESS boutique was calling me in when I was in fact in a hurry to get into the train station earlier.. & this luggage set @ $ 350+ was simply beckoning me in to bring them home! 
Though it is black-based but the print is so nice, so unique, so different! 
I don’t know when is my next travel.. B who happen to be around was trying to stop me from the crazy act, while A has earlier over the phone told me that I hard ever (!!) buy anything fancy for myself, so it is ok (does it sound like those white/black, good/bad voices??)
I don’t know what is going to happen when my credit bill comes in.. and D who was sending me with my newly acquired luggage thinks I am absolutely mad, and instead of a pay cut I must have had a 30% increment!!! haha…
I greatly think that the person who made all these purchases was not me.. there must be some impersonatorof some sort.. hm…

seeing L’s blog on Turkey make me wish i were there too.. the heart is anywhere but here..
.. and defintely not at work. maybe this is what indirectly ref by KC when he spoke about motivated ability. i hv the ability at work, only it is not motivated.. how long more can I stay at work without being motivated? sure alot of people are not motivate at work most times, just surviving, but me?? I am not such person! i think i will “pass out” before the time is up!
Such is life.. life can be a drag if we don’t do something about it.. Is it time to strike out? Is it right to strike out? Is it alright to strike out?
sluggish week

sigh** it has been a sluggish week since I came back from Genting..
It spending is cut down due to current crisis, & every Monday, my sales meeting is all stressed up with the pipelines & quota.. when is th epot of gold at the end of the rainbow?? Arh… still raining & rainbow has not appear!
